We provide couples and family therapy for people in all types of relationships—including LGBTQIA+ partnerships, polyamorous and non-monogamous arrangements, co-parenting dynamics, and other non-traditional family systems. Our therapists support partners navigating a range of challenges such as communication breakdowns, infidelity, parenting concerns, emotional disconnection, and differences in sexual desire. We offer a nonjudgmental space to explore what matters most to you and strengthen your connection. Our therapists use a number of theoretical approaches, including the Gottman Method, IFS, EFT and attachment-based work.
All of our therapists are trained in the Gottman Method, a highly respected, research-based approach developed from decades of studying what makes relationships thrive. The Gottman Method focuses on improving communication, deepening friendship and intimacy, and managing conflict in healthy, constructive ways. Couples learn practical tools to build trust, handle differences, and strengthen their emotional connection.
At the beginning of your work together, you’ll have the option to complete the Gottman Relationship Checkup through Gottman Connect. This is an online, research-based questionnaire that each partner fills out separately. It looks at many areas of your relationship—communication, friendship, conflict patterns, trust, shared meaning, and individual backgrounds.
Your therapist uses the results to get a clear, thorough understanding of your relationship right from the start. It helps identify strengths, highlight areas that may need support, and guide a personalized treatment plan so therapy can be more focused and effective from the very first sessions.
Participation is optional, but many couples find it helpful in giving their therapist a strong foundation for the work ahead.
This approach helps partners explore how early attachment experiences shape the ways they connect, seek comfort, or respond to conflict in their adult relationships. By understanding these patterns, couples can move toward greater security, empathy, and emotional closeness.
EFT centers on identifying the emotional cycles that keep couples feeling stuck or disconnected. Through guided conversations, partners learn to express their underlying needs and fears, creating new patterns of responsiveness, safety, and bonding.
IFS invites each partner to explore their “inner parts”—the different emotional states or protective roles that influence how they show up in the relationship. Working with these parts fosters self-awareness and compassion, helping couples respond to each other with greater understanding and care.
