Our Approach to Eating Disorder Therapy
Our therapy is grounded in Health at Every Size (HAES) principles and a weight-inclusive approach, which means we don’t focus on weight loss or body perfection. Instead, we help you develop a healthier relationship with food and your body, regardless of your size. We offer a non-diet, anti-fatphobia approach that encourages self-compassion and body acceptance, free from societal pressures.
Our team of therapists specializing in eating disorders bring a wealth of experience and training from world-renowned eating disorder treatment facilities—ranging from residential care to intensive outpatient program for eating disorders. This extensive training ensures that we are equipped with the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatment methods to meet your needs. Whether you're looking for help with disordered eating or have been battling a more severe, long-term eating disorder, we are ready to support you on your healing journey.
We primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you break free from the cycle of disordered eating, though if you’ve tried these approaches and are looking for something different let us know. Most of our clinicians have specialized training in orientations outside of these two and can be eclectic.
