Insurance and therapy can feel confusing. We get it. Here's exactly how the process works at Radiance, what we'll do for you, and what to expect — no surprises.

We are in-network with Keystone Health Plan East, Personal Choice, Independence Administrators, and AmeriHealth. Please note: Keystone First Medicaid is not one of the plans we can accept.

We accept Mental Health Consultants (MHC). This is a smaller plan — if you have MHC, you're in good hands here.

Out-of-Network / Other Insurance
Don't have one of the plans above? You can still see us. We offer out-of-network sessions and provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Some plans reimburse a significant portion — it's worth checking with your insurer. Contact us for our current session rate.

How it works

From first contact to first session.

Here's exactly what happens when you reach out to Radiance — step by step, no guesswork.

Tell us your insurance
Let us know what plan you have — we'll confirm we can bill it
Just tell us the name of your insurance plan and whether it's a PPO. You don't need to send your card yet — we just need to confirm whether it's one we can bill before we go any further. Email RadianceTherapyGroup@gmail.com or call us at (484) 679-6341 and we'll check right away.

Finding your therapist
We'll work with you to find the right therapist with the availability you need
Once we've confirmed your insurance works, we'll work together to find a therapist whose specialty, style, and schedule align with what you're looking for. Our clinical supervisor personally oversees the matching process — you're never just picking a name from a list.

We do the legwork
We call your insurance to check your co-pay and deductible
We'll call your insurance company directly to find out what your sessions will actually cost — your co-pay, where you are with your deductible, and any other relevant benefits. We'll share everything we learn with you clearly and completely.

You decide
We review the costs with you — you choose whether to proceed
Once you know what your out-of-pocket costs will be, you decide whether to move forward. If the numbers work for you, great. If not, no hard feelings — we'll talk through your options together. No pressure, ever.

You're in
We connect you with your therapist to schedule
We'll introduce you directly to your therapist to schedule a free 15-minute consultation or a first session — whichever you prefer. We'll also send new client paperwork to complete beforehand. Sessions are held at our 1601 Walnut Street office in Philadelphia, with telehealth available for many of our therapists.

A note about benefits verification

When we call your insurance company to check your benefits, we do our best to get you accurate information — but insurance companies sometimes provide estimates that don't match what they actually pay. Benefits verification is not a guarantee of coverage or payment.

Ultimately, you are responsible for any costs your insurance does not cover, including co-pays, deductibles, and any sessions that are denied after the fact. We know that's not the most fun thing to read — but we'd rather you know upfront than be surprised by a bill later. We're always happy to answer questions before you commit to anything.
